Переглядів 1,4 тис.4 роки тому
Here is a video tour of my 1997 Ford Taurus. The car is in good condition and was just recently serviced. The car has only 83,500 miles on it which is really low for the year of the car. The car features power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, A.m F.m Radio, and a 3rd row back seat. I paid $300.00 for the car and i sold it for $900.00. Thanks for watching.

This video is like finding a grain of salt in the desert. Like the only video for this lol. Thanks!
thank you for the advice I have an identical car in Australia but its called a Cerato also I use a 1 quart soda plastic bottle cut in half to use as a funnel. The top of the bottle fits perfectly into the top of the oil cap hole
Thank you, sir. You're a godsend.
Found out my Haynes manual says 45ft-Lbs for the outer tie rod end nut, & 100ft-Lbs for the lug nuts, just fyi. - take care
Thank you. I watched until the end. I feel more confident with the replacement of the both parking lights with my huge hands 😎. GOD bless ❤
Im really happy to have find this video....i was crazy trying to take off last week.....i couldn't...but now i feel.like i will can. 😅
Good job bro,,
My '97 has about 145,000 miles on it. Recently discovered 1 thing these cars badly Need is fresh/cool/cold air intake plumbing of some kind. Live data stream on my code scanner says it's sucking in HOT underhood air, Bad air for power/mileage. Very different from my '06 VW Jetta that reads the intake air temp is about 10 degrees less than the ambient air temperature. Unfortunately it's pretty tight in that area, so might have to get a little creative to squeeze some kind of plumbing for it, may have to use some kind of flexible rubber hose. - take care
Hi, thanks for sharing, good work. Gotta do the Inner tie rod end on my '97. I've got some repair clips on it u or the owner of this car might want to check out when u get a chance, mostly 'small' stuff like starter replacement & such, they're a bit of a pain, hard to get to. Take care. - Leeroy
I have one Ford Taurus 1997 sedan
Thank you so much bro for that. ❤
Thanks so much for this tutorial. Fixing my stud situation now. Saving money definitely 👍
I would always check the light. Make sure it’s on before I put that back together to❤
Good video thank you ❤
7+ years late, but I have a 1996 Stratus, red, with 106,600+ miles, 2.4, automatic. My brother had one with a manual and loved it--drove it for over 250,000 + miles before he sold it. Mine has crank windows, manual locks. Interior looks like yours, pretty new, except some wear on the driver's seat and floor. Only a small dent and bit of rust forming on the left front fender, plus the clear coat on the roof and hood are flaking. I don't have a center consol, so I made an armrest that it set in there when I hit the road. The main irritation I have is the automatic shift: too tall and interferes with putting drinks in the holders when it's in park. Otherwise I can't complain about the vehicle. I could never sell it and buy another car with equivalent value for the money, so I'll keep mine, especially because of the low maintenance and insurance.
Thank you
Nice video fella, my UK ASX was the same side, (drivers here!) and really tight, so I cut a metal tube with a slot to miss the wiring and give me great torque undo the holder, plus good for replacement. Full marks for awkwardness Mitsubishi but I've done worse. Cheers from the UK.
Awesome thanks
Is there no crush washer on the drain bolt? just replace the drain bolt?
Yes you are supposed to change the crush washer on the drain bolt.
Yikes! going from a Mobil 1 oil filter to a Fram? damn
Fram is a scam
thank u sir
Why doesn’t my wheel turn like 4:28?
Both front tires have to be off of the ground.
@@jamescasmireOh my god thank you so much🙏🏽
What does it mean when the light starts flashing after you have replaced them with new bulbs ?
They are not supposed to flash, did you use the correct bulbs?
Thanks 👍
bonjour et merci pour les infos .
First video that came up when I searched for this make and model, big ups for giving me the info I need to help a friend out tomorrow 👍
Still have?
Savannah is in Georgia I think u meant Sylvania. Lol. Cool video. Very helpful. Dummies at Autozone tried to give me the wrong bulb. Your bulb number was spot on and the instructions were clear. Thanks!
why does it sound like his microphone is a fucking toaster
I need to replace the exact bulb on the exact same side on the exact same make, model, and year vehicle. And this was the first video I found. Unbelievable. 😊

Hello James Casmire , could I feature this clip on my channel? Any comment? Any updates? Thanks

Love the product
Thank'ye kindly
Thanks!
Hi! I tried to remove the horizontal scr e w and it was imposible, too rusty. I tried with a wrench, quemicals and just couldn't. Any tips?
Hi Luigi thanks for the comment. I would locate the nut that the bolt threads into and heat the nut up with a torch, get the nut cherry red and then you should be able to loosen the bolt. Hopefully this helps.
@@jamescasmire ok, will buy a torch and give it a try. I even used this so famous penetrator wurth ice which didn't work at all. So I will give it a try. I was able to change the other three motor mounts....but this is just frustrating. Btw, it's counterclockwise, right? I mean the bolt.
@@luigicabo1316 Yes the bolt is counterclockwise. If heating up the nut with a torch doesn’t work it is possible that the bolt could be sized to the metal collar that is attached to the bushing. If that is the case you would have to cut the mount out with a cutting wheel. Hopefully that is not the case.
@@jamescasmire I finally did it! I used a 3 inches power extension for my impact key, and gave short hits....it got loose after 10 to 14. Just drive a bit and my steering wheel moves around by itself, so I will change the driver's side mount too....I located a couple scr e w s: one by the battery and one underneath the filter base. Are there any more? I don't want to break something. Btw like and subscribe. You save my life. Greetings from Mexico.
@@luigicabo1316 Your welcome, that’s good that you got the old mount out. The Transmission mount would have 2 more bolts in the driver front wheel well you will have to take out, the bolts would be covered by 2 rubber plugs. Btw thanks for liking and subscribing 👍
what size bolts are on the cover you mentioned taking off? thanks for this tutorial, it's extremely easy to follow along :)
I think they are 10mm bolts, thanks for the comment.
Almost broke my thumb trying to get the driver side back in …. But thank you ,I couldn’t even find how to get them out!
Why does it have that door chime
Hello! Mind if I share your clip for an edit that I’m working on? Full credits with watermark on screen of course. (:

I know this s definitely an easier spot to do so, but your camera angles/shots were spot on. Good stuff that’s a hot topic in these videos. 😊
